For organisations and individual members of staff or volunteers working to improve young people’s financial capability, whether as a main or partial focus of their work.

Youth practice outcomes framework

The Youth Practice Outcomes Framework describes quality indicators of good practice for effective financial capability support for young people, particularly where support takes place outside of traditional educational setting.

The quality indicators are arranged under three outcome areas:

  • understanding Young people’ financial capability
  • engaging young people in financial capability
  • promoting Financially capable behaviour in young people.

These outcome areas are applied to individual practitioners and to organisations.

Organisations can use the framework to reflect on the extent to which the quality indicators are present in their work and how they can be improved upon.
