The Money Advice Service (MAS) has funded a range of research about how children learn to manage money. This research has found that children’s habits and attitudes around money are developing by age seven, it’s proven the link between numeracy and ability to manage money, and shown that training teachers in financial education has a positive impact on pedagogical practice and student outcomes. We’ve also found that over 70% of secondary schools in England want to improve their financial offer.
