Of the 40m working-age people, 22 million say they don’t know enough to plan their retirement. Behavioural bias research tells us that people live for today and find it hard to make decisions about their future, for example saving for the short term, having safety net savings and planning for later life.
‘Future Focus’ is one of five ambitious agendas for change set out in the Money and Pension Service (MaPS) UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing 2020-2030. The goal of Future Focus is to increase the number of people understand enough to plan for, and in, later life by 5 million people.
