Mental Health

Many sources of evidence demonstrate that people who experience mental health issues are particularly susceptible to experiencing financial difficulties. Recent Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) data shows that just under 1 in 3 UK adults experience mental health challenges, an increase from around 1 in 5 in 2018.

The MaPS UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing 2020-2030 establishes mental health as a cross-cutting theme across the five Agendas for Change. A key component of this theme is building mental health awareness into service delivery.
